This project builds upon the success of prior development by adding new clinical and support spaces designed to enhance patient capacity, streamline staff operations, and integrate seamlessly with the existing hospital and surgery center. The expansion consists of new treatment and recovery rooms, staff locker and lounge facilities, equipment and supply storage areas, and upgraded support infrastructure. The design incorporates modern fire and life-safety systems, IIA construction standards, and advanced mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems to meet current healthcare codes and operational demands. The addition improves both workflow efficiency and the overall patient experience, while providing room for continued growth and innovation in Southwoods’ surgical and recovery programs. Civil improvements to the surrounding site include selective demolition, upgraded utility connections, and site reconfiguration to maintain accessibility and drainage continuity during construction. As with all Southwoods projects, the focus remains on creating a highly functional, patient-centered environment built to support exceptional care for the Mahoning Valley community. ![kitchen](https://www.itsbrockbuilt.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Institutional%20Project%20Images/Southwood%20Hospital%20South%20Addition/DSC_1837.jpg?width=2000&name=DSC_1837.jpg) - ![Operating room](https://www.itsbrockbuilt.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Institutional%20Project%20Images/Southwood%20Hospital%20South%20Addition/DSC_1863.jpg?width=6016&height=4016&name=DSC_1863.jpg) - ![operating room](https://www.itsbrockbuilt.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Institutional%20Project%20Images/Southwood%20Hospital%20South%20Addition/DSC_1869.jpg?width=6016&height=4016&name=DSC_1869.jpg) - ![operating room](https://www.itsbrockbuilt.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Institutional%20Project%20Images/Southwood%20Hospital%20South%20Addition/DSC_1826.jpg?width=6016&height=4016&name=DSC_1826.jpg) - ![operating room](https://www.itsbrockbuilt.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Institutional%20Project%20Images/Southwood%20Hospital%20South%20Addition/DSC_1865.jpg?width=6016&height=4016&name=DSC_1865.jpg) - ![corridor](https://www.itsbrockbuilt.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Institutional%20Project%20Images/Southwood%20Hospital%20South%20Addition/DSC_1830.jpg?width=6016&height=4016&name=DSC_1830.jpg) - ![lounge](https://www.itsbrockbuilt.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Institutional%20Project%20Images/Southwood%20Hospital%20South%20Addition/DSC_1839.jpg?width=6016&height=4016&name=DSC_1839.jpg) - ![locker room](https://www.itsbrockbuilt.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Institutional%20Project%20Images/Southwood%20Hospital%20South%20Addition/DSC_1845.jpg?width=6016&height=4016&name=DSC_1845.jpg) - ![corridor](https://www.itsbrockbuilt.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Institutional%20Project%20Images/Southwood%20Hospital%20South%20Addition/DSC_1847.jpg?width=6016&height=4016&name=DSC_1847.jpg) - ![sterile](https://www.itsbrockbuilt.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Institutional%20Project%20Images/Southwood%20Hospital%20South%20Addition/DSC_1827.jpg?width=6016&height=4016&name=DSC_1827.jpg) - ![pharmacy](https://www.itsbrockbuilt.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Institutional%20Project%20Images/Southwood%20Hospital%20South%20Addition/DSC_1831.jpg?width=6016&height=4016&name=DSC_1831.jpg) - ![laundry](https://www.itsbrockbuilt.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Institutional%20Project%20Images/Southwood%20Hospital%20South%20Addition/DSC_1829.jpg?width=6016&height=4016&name=DSC_1829.jpg) - ![corridor](https://www.itsbrockbuilt.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Institutional%20Project%20Images/Southwood%20Hospital%20South%20Addition/DSC_1834.jpg?width=6016&height=4016&name=DSC_1834.jpg) ### Let’s Build Together  Ready to start your project with a team that prioritizes your goals and brings industry-leading expertise to the table?
